Batteries-
The Battery in your vehicle is a pretty important part in your vehicle. Without a good charged battery, your vehicle will fail to start or having electrical problems . When your turn the key or push the start button your ignition switch send a signal to your starter. Once your vehicle starts the alternator acts as a charging device to keep electrical power going to your battery, thus having a charged battery will always insure your vehicle having what it takes to start up every time, and not leaving you stranded. When Batteries begin to fail the startup process becomes weaker and weaker and your alternator and starter are working harder which eventually causes pre mature failure in the starter and alternator. It has been said that batteries will last more then five years, well, I would say that is false, due to the amount of electrical devices we have in our car charging laptops, phones, etc and sometimes leaving them on over night. Typically to prevent non startups you should have your battery tested every 6 months and cables cleaned free from corrosion and your battery will last longer as if you didn’t.
Brakes-
Having your brakes functioning properly is crucial in how quickly your vehicle stops. If your brake pedal is soft, spongey, or grinding then you are putting yourself and other at risk for a potential accident. Your vehicle needs the brake system to function properly in order for your vehicle to stop. First one is an electric power steering system that needs no maintence, the other system runs on fluid that transfers from the pump to rack. When you turn the steering wheel the power steering pump pushes fluid into the rack-a- pinion which creates pressure in the system to make your steering movement a breeze. TuneUp-
over the years of being in business, I have been confronted countless times on how often vehicles need a tune up. I have heard customers say my old mechanic say I need a tune up every 1 too 2 years. Now when I say tune up that consist of the following item, spark plugs and wires, fuel filter. That answer is false. In Todays age, Spark plugs are built better and stronger and last up to 10k as traditional spark plugs. In the older days spark plugs were replaced about every year. But now bc of the technology we have Spark Plugs now last up to 60-80 thousand miles that’s about 6-8 years if your driving 10 thousand miles a year. So if you think about it, you would only need to do a tune up 2-3 times in the life span of the vehicle. Having a tune up will save on gas with better gas mileage and insure you have limited combustion problems thus having misfires that can destroy you catalytic converter system costing thousands of dollars.
